Christmas revisited

When I was putting up pictures of the snow this morning, I found some Christmas pictures I had forgotten in my phone. These were taken at the Cascade Theater before the Sunday service where the boys performed. These pictures are much better than the ones of them on stage, because the house lights were still on.

Snow

We have had beautiful, springlike weather for the last couple weeks, but yesterday afternoon winter came back! Yesterday the ground was bare, with flowers already starting to push through the soil. These pictures were taken this morning.

Student of the Month

Rebecca was recognized as December Student of the month during a ceremony at the Lions club on January 21st. She was awarded $50.00 by her principal, Mr. Puskarich. Her friend Sabrina (next to her) was recognized as November student of the month. Sabrina is one of the two girls going with Becky to Washington DC in June. The boy on Becky's other side is Brett Shoemaker, November student of the month for the high school (12th grade).
I know I haven't been blogging very often, but this has been a trying time for our little church, and I have been throwing myself wholly into ministry.
A few months ago, God gave me a word: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
I have been clinging to this verse. The church has been in turmoil, and last month our Pastors stepped down and left the church. As the verse says, in all things God works for the good... It has been uplifting to watch the body of Christ pull together and rebuild! We are getting back on track, and coming to terms with the new transition. God is Awesome! More people are stepping up than ever to serve Him. We have passed through the fire, and been refined and purified.
