Random moments

Last week was red ribbon week at school.  The kids dressed up in red white and blue Monday, Red on Tuesday, crazy hair day Wednesday, Pajama day Thursday, and Green and Gold day Friday.

I had to get a picture Pajama Day! Pretty soon they'll be too big for footies!!
Becky made an HTML cake for George on his birthday Thursday.
It turned out pretty cute.  It says 39! in the upper right corner.

James is running for Secretary again this year.

The posters turned out really nice!!

Saturday Oct 22: Grandma's house

We went to see my mom's new house in Red Bluff Saturday.  She wasn't able to come to the birthday party over Labor Day weekend, so we had another little party.

Her house has a big, beautiful kitchen and is on 5 acres for her horse.

My mom got the boys remote control trucks,
and she got Becky a machine to put jewels and studs on things.

The boys had a great time running around the property with my brother, trying out their new trucks. My brother even threw together some ramps for them to jump.

My mom's horse is in the background, the two in the front she is watching for a friend.

My mom barbecued a tri-tip for lunch
My mom's dogs.  A couple months ago Jake was the same size as Oreo, now he's huge!
My mom decorated a cake with Dot flowers

After lunch the kids car pumpkins

Women of Faith Conference

Just got back from the Women of Faith OVER THE TOP Conference in Sacramento!!!
Had an AWESOME time!!
Click on pictures to see them bigger...

Eight of us went from our church, but we were part of a larger group of 490 women from 90 churches in the Northern part of the state.

We drove down to Sacramento early on Thursday the 13th so we could wander around Old Sac for the day.

We went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner

Jannette had a hard time beating her crab into submission, but she managed to get the better of it in the end.

Marian has heard the call of the open sea, and may take up piracy...
Getting in and out of the parking lot was a challenge Friday and Saturday.  There were 10,000 women there!!
The Women of Faith Worship team was awesome!
We enjoyed Mandisa, Selah, Sandi Patty, and several speakers: Patsy Clairmont, Marilyn Meberg, Lisa Welchel, and Andy Andrews.

Friday night we extended the fellowship with desert at IHOP after the convention.

We enjoyed picnic lunches and fellowship Saturday afternoon.

Can't wait for next year!!!
