Continuing to catch up: September 2012

We took the kids to the Intermountain Fair over Labor Day weekend

The kids all loved the Bumper Cars the most, and  rode them several times.

The other rides were fun, too!
 Thomas loves the Giant Slide

On our way back to Burney, we saw a giant pillar of smoke.  There was a huge fire on the edge of town, and people a couple blocks from us were being evacuated.  This picture was taken from our driveway when we got home.  Thankfully, several fire departments and the forest service knocked it down quickly.

George ran the sound system for a tent revival in Little Valley in September.
The kids had fun playing at the booths they had set up, while the adults were in the big tent

 They provided a barbecue lunch
As I pulled in the driveway from work one day, Thomas was walking home with a trout he caught

September is ministry kick-off time for the J12 Tween ministry, which we have renamed TnT (Teens n Tweens), as our age range has expanded.

Becky's friend Justin came to the first few sessions and provided live worship
The boys have joined the scouts!  Thomas joined first, and they had a Court of Honor the week he joined, so he took part in the ceremony.  James joined the following week.

Because it was his first week, Thomas just had a plain shirt.  He did get a patch at the ceremony, though.

The boys had a candle lighting ceremony, and said the pledge and the oath.

Thomas pinned a Boy Scout pin on me.

Becky and James went to school early on See You At The Flagpole day, to pray and sing songs before school.  Ground Zero (The Christian Club at school) provided Hot Chocolate
I curled Becky's hair in Ringlets for "dress classy" day during spirit week.

James dressed really classy!
Justin was giving Becky guitar lessons before TnT on Thursday nights
While everyone else played Ping Pong or ran around outside

Extreme Green and Gold day.  Becky's face says Go Raiders.
