March/April 2012

On March 20 I went on a field trip with Becky to Ashland to see Romeo and Juliet.
The weather was much better this year.  Last year we drove through a blizzard.

We had lunch at Munchee's again.

 Munchee's is in a basement

It's hard to see in the picture, but someone painted a face on the sidewalk near our bus.

Becky is 15 and a half, and now has a permit.  This is her taking a test at DMV.

Spring is here!! Thomas is the only one playing this year.  Here is their first practice

The school had a talent show April 5th. James wrote and starred in a comedy skit. He won 2nd place, which was $25.  He split it with the boy who played the 2nd character in his skit. I will post video of the skit later.
April 21st was our opening day for baseball. Thomas is on the Minor Yankees.  This is his last year of minor's, he will be in majors next year.

The color guard comes out for opening day

Pictures were after the opening ceremony

Thomas played his first game that afternoon.  They won 7-5.

Thomas played third base for that game.  He is number 7

Thomas was getting ready to bat, waiting for the pitchers to be changed.

Here he is at bat

He stole to second base, then made it to third on a steal.  he actually ended up stealing home after getting chased back to 3rd a couple times.

They had a great first game!!

They played their second game this morning in Fall River (April 28)
Thomas was catcher for the second half of the game.

They got off to a rough start, but started to rally towards the end.  They ended up losing 14-4.

Thomas on deck...
He ended up getting hit and walking.
Thomas ended up stealing home

James was acting as bat boy

After the game we went to the school to walk around the track to raise money for Relay for Life'

Stay tuned, I will be posting Becky's Yosemite trip
