The school wasn't sure if they would have funding for Jr. High track this year, so they signed everyone up last minute, had about a weeks worth of practices, and then only had 2 track meets. We went to Becky's second and last track meet on Friday in Redding. There were about 7 or 8 Burney Jr high students, and about 50 from each of the other schools. Becky ran in the 400 meter race, and did the long jump.

Rebecca left at 6:15 yesterday morning to go to a track meet in Yreka. She didn't get home until 7:45 last night.

She looks cute in her uniform! I was trying to get a picture of how badly sunburnt she is, but it's hard to see in the picture. Even with three layers of sunscreen, her face, chest, shoulders, and upper legs are bright red.
