Rebecca's spring concert went well. She is in the front row, the farthest on the right, playing piccolo.
The Intermediate Band played Fanfare and Procession, New World Symphony, The Tempest, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.
After that, she stayed with the Advanced Band to perform Louie Louie, Smoke on the Water, Land of a Thousand Dances, Tequila, Eye of the Tiger, and Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye.
Their concerts are always a lot of fun. Besides the band and choir, Mr. Castro always lets student bands and youth groups show off what they have been doing outside of class. Word of Life's Youth Band played, and several other students showed off their bands.
One band played Back in the USSR by the Beatles, a girl played a song on the piano, and one very talented boy showed off on an acoustic guitar.
George video taped the whole concert, if we can compress it down enough I might put it up here. One of the girls from our church, Taylor, plays in the Word of Life youth band, and also wrote two worship songs that she played at the concert.
